In 2017, 22 of the 30 leaseholders participated in a collective purchase of the freehold of the site by Charminster Close Freehold Ltd. The 22 participators have granted themselves new 999 year leases at a peppercorn (zero) ground rent. The remaining non-participators will continue with their original leases at a ground rent of £65 a year, rising to £120 in 2036 and expiring on 4 July 2075 until such time as they enter into a deed of variation with Charminster Close Freehold Ltd to extend their leases.
